Liliane Lathan was born in New York and raised in Los Angeles in a family of filmmakers and artists. Liliane has always been fascinated by images and how the world is seen through the eyes of others. With early beginnings in illustration and painting, Liliane’s artistic vision eventually led her to photography. She graduated with a BFA in Photography & Imaging from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. As a Photographer, Liliane has worked with many companies ranging from non-profits to production companies shooting products, events, portraits and behind the scenes.
After the recent impact of Covid-19, Liliane hit the streets to photograph the Black Lives Matter movement. She loves documenting people fighting for justice with resilience, hope, unity and love. Aside from current affairs, Liliane loves to photograph nature, street portraits, weddings and film sets. When she’s not shooting, you can find her painting, canoodling with her cats or playing in the sunshine.
